Automated builds were a success...mostly

The ice-nine minecraft server has existed, off-and-on, for several years. In that time, players have built various structures that caught my eye. To archive them, I've been copying them and moving them onto new servers.

This year, I tried out the NPC Builder to put the structures into the world. The quick explanation is that the Citizens and Builder plugins let you make NPCs on the server that can read in saved files (in schematic format), and they can build them from scratch or rebuild something that had been destroyed by griefing.

There were a few false starts, but we managed to get a bridge, a giant creeper statue, two treehouses, and a fountain built. Images:

There was one casualty. A cow was in the wrong place at the wrong time and was encased in dirt.

Ground chicken, ground cow.

RIP Ground Cow.

There's one more thing I would like to add to the server, but it will take some thought. It's an entire mine made by players years ago. I think it would be really great to be able to have the mine made by one or more NPCs. I just need to think about where it should go (so it doesn't ruin other things) and how to best set the NPCs up so players could be in the mine as its being excavated/built.
